N turns 5!

Our oldest turned 5 yesterday. Its hard to believe its been that long. Its been an emotional birthday for me, I feel like 5 is such a "big kid" age! Here are some pictures from our birthday fun. He had a friend spend the night. Steve designed the cake and I carved and decorated it from a sheet cake - it took all day but it was really fun! :)

Pumpkin patch

Last Friday we took the boys to the pumpkin patch for the first time! Grandma and Papa are here so we went for it and braved the crowds, heat and the 5 (!) bounce houses. Our good friends also went along with us. It was a REALLY neat pumpkin patch and the kids had a ton of fun.

Unfortunately at the very end of our time there, N fell in the bounce house and broke his arm. So we spent the rest of the afternoon in the ER. Its a pretty bad break, at the top of his long bone, just beneath the shoulder. Thankfully he wasnt in a lot of pain after a few hours. They cant cast it because is so high so he is in a sling for 1 month. Here are some pictures of the fun, pre-injury! :)
